Folk Art at Elms College

Elms College, in Chicopee, Massachusetts, graciously hosted the Polish Center for an exhibition of Polish Folk Art. The exhibit invited visitors into the vibrant world of Polish folk art, where color, craftsmanship, and tradition come together to tell the story of Poland’s cultural identity. The objects on display, many generously donated, highlight not only regional diversity but also the enduring human desire to create, preserve identity, and find beauty in everyday life.

This gallery was made possible through the contributions of Stephanie Afonso, Bożena Jaworowski, and Christopher "Topher" Mattoon. Special thanks are extended to our many generous donors, including Grace Loeffler, whose extraordinary wooden bird collection enriches the museum’s interpretation of Polish folk art and cultural heritage.
