MUSEUM VISITOR & COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

WELCOME

The Polish Center of Discovery and Learning is dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and sharing Polish culture, heritage, and history for the benefit of families, students, researchers, tourists, and the broader public. We strive to provide a respectful, inclusive, and engaging environment where all visitors may learn and explore comfortably.

VISITOR CONDUCT

To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, visitors are asked to:

Treat all exhibits, artifacts, and facilities with care and respect.
Refrain from touching objects unless clearly indicated as interactive.
Maintain a moderate noise level to preserve a calm learning environment.
Supervise children at all times.
Follow all posted signs and staff instructions.
Consume food and beverages only in designated areas.
Respect fellow visitors, staff, and volunteers at all times.

Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from museum premises.

ACCESSIBILITY & INCLUSION

The museum is committed to providing equitable access for all visitors.

We aim to provide:

Accessible entrances and pathways where possible
Inclusive education programming
Assistance for visitors with disabilities or additional needs
Clear signage and visitor support services

Visitors requiring accommodation are encouraged to contact museum staff for assistance.

PHOTOGRAPH & RECORDING POLICY

Photography for personal, non-commercial use is welcome unless otherwise indicated.

Please note:

Flash photography, tripods, or recording equipment may be restricted in certain galleries.
Some exhibitions or loaned materials may prohibit photography.
Photography must not interfere with visitor movement or program activities.
Commercial photography or media recording requires prior written permission.

Visitors are asked to respect the privacy of others when taking photographs

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Museum educational programs are designed to promote respectful cultural learning and inquiry.

Participants are expected to:

Engage respectfully with educators and fellow participants.
Follow program guidelines and safety instructions.
Use materials responsibly.
Support an inclusive learning environment welcoming diverse perspectives.

VOLUNTEERS

Museum volunteers play an essential role in supporting our mission.

Volunteers are expected to:

Represent the museum professionally and courteously.
Provide accurate information or refer questions to staff
Support visitor accessibility and inclusion
Protect the safety and preservation of museum collections
Follow museum policies and confidentiality standards
