LEARN TO MAKE
POLISH CHRISTMAS TREE DECORATIONS

Class Begins at 3:00 PM ( Free to all )

Once again. the Polish Center will offer instruction on creating
traditional Polish Christmas tree ornaments.

You will learn to create fascinating designs
which reflect the joy of this very special season.

Please bring a pair of scissors, glue and some interesting gift wrap.

Mr. Lovchinsky is 17 years old. Born in Kazan, Russia, he began his
studies at the Kazan Special Music School for Gifted Children and after
his immigration to the United States in 1994, became a student of Nina
Polonsky. Since 1998, he has been studying with Steven Glaser, Former
winner of the NY Chopin International Competition. In the fall of 2003,
he entered the Juilliard School on full scholarship.

All are welcome to attend on a first come first served basis, however
children will be given priority.

UNIQUE TOUR OF POLAND

Benefit tour which promises to differ considerably from customary tours. An Introduction to the Polish Heritage, a Unique Insight into Poland's History, Culture and Folklore. Castles, Knights and Ghosts! concentrates on the eastern half of Poland from the Mazurian Lake District to the Polish-Ukrainian border and more. PENNSYLVANIA, CHICAGO, TEXAS STYLE: ORIGINS AND VARIETIES OF THE POLKA IN AMERICA

A brief history of the development of the polka in America presented with video illustrations by Janice Bajgier. Jan and her husband, Ed Bajgier are children of families that have contributed substantially to the development of the Polish polka in the United States. She has taught polkas, obereks and figure dancing together with her father Johnny Libera, the popular Polish radio polka disc jockey, columnist and vocalist.
